On 25 July 2013 I will present on the practical implications of the Experience API for mobile educational apps in a SWITCH eduhub Webinar.

From the SWITCH Eduhub newsletter:

We are happy to invite you to the next eduhub webinar:

TinCan in the Wild

presented by Christian Glahn from the Center for Security Studies of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich on

Thursday, July 25, 2013, from 11h00 to 12h00 (CEST)

The ADL Co-Labs published the Experience API, short XAPI, early in 2013. The XAPI has been primarily developed by the TinCan Project in order to overcome the present limitations of the SCORM specification. Therefore, the XAPI is already seen as the future replacement of SCORM. The XAPI standardizes the interfaces for exchanging learning experiences between educational devices, services, and systems. This should improve the interoperability between these systems and enables educators and organizations to create complex learning ecosystems. Based on the experiences in developing the Mobler Cards App this webinar will introduce and explain the concepts, principles and approaches for bringing this new specification into practice.

Registration is open until July 22, 2013. Please register here:
